The 31-year-old ended his three-year stint at Old Trafford last summer to move to the Middle East for £4 million.

Telles is now a free agent after leaving Al Nassr after just one year.

When he moved to the King Saud University Stadium, he was reunited with his former Red Devils teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Together they won the Arab Club Champions Cup and the left-back was a regular for Al Nassr.

In total, he played 38 games for the Gulf state team and contributed three goals and five assists.

He even played in the club’s opening two matches in the Saudi Pro League this season.

But the defender and the club have decided to go their separate ways, with Al Nassr receiving the Brazilian’s contract, which reportedly earns him £135,000 a week, from his payroll.

But incredibly, he still earned just over £7 million during his year-long stay and Telles is now set for a new adventure.

Al Nassr recognized his achievements by releasing a montage video featuring the player’s best moments at the club.

An accompanying brief statement read: “Al Nassr can announce that Brazilian star Alex Telles has left the club by mutual consent.

“Thanks for everything, Alex.”

A return to Porto has been discussed, while Telles could potentially consider a return to his native Brazil – ten years after leaving Grêmio for Galatasaray.

Telles arrived at Old Trafford for £15 million in 2020, following a season in which he scored 13 goals in all competitions for Porto.

He was expected to challenge Luke Shaw for a regular place in the Theatre of Dreams, but the England international took his game to a whole new level.

Due to Shaw’s impressive form, Telles was only able to make nine Premier League appearances.

The 2021/22 season was again frustrating for Telles, as he only made 18 appearances in the top division.

This was followed by a loan to Sevilla, where he played in 38 matches – starting with the victory over Roma in the Europa League final.
