Jonathan David says his dream would be to join Barcelona, although he admits he is unlikely to leave Lille in January.
The Lille striker is one of the most sought-after players in Europe this season.

He has scored 13 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions, including four goals in as many Champions League games.
These goals came against Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Juventus.
Since making his senior national team debut in 2018, David has also scored 29 goals in 56 international appearances for Canada.
The 24-year-old’s contract also expires at the end of the season, meaning he could leave Lille on a free transfer in the summer.
However, the French side could still benefit from the Canadian when the transfer window reopens in January.
David has now shared his thoughts on a potential mid-season move, having been linked with a number of clubs over the summer.
He told The Athletic: “Going to a club in the middle of the season is never easy.”
“It’s not like the start of a season where you have a pre-season, you get to know your teammates and have time to settle in.”
“It’s very hectic in January. It’s happening right now. It’s harder.”
David had previously moved from his youth club in Ottawa to Ghent in Belgium in the middle of the season at the age of just 18.

However, Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal are among the clubs said to be keeping an eye on the striker.
However, none of these teams are David’s dream club as he expressed his desire to play for Barcelona one day.
He added: “(Barcelona) was always the team I supported as a child. When you support a team as a kid, you dream of playing for them.”
The Spanish champions are currently top of LaLiga having won 11 of their first 13 games.
Hansi Flick’s team is six points ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid, who still have a game in hand.
