Paris Saint Germain and Mohamed Salah have started talks over a free transfer next summer, according to The Pitch Prospect.
The Liverpool winger’s current contract at Anfield only runs for six months, with the Reds at risk of losing the Premier League and Champions League winners.

French club L’Equipe first reported on Sunday that the Liverpool winger’s representatives have an open dialect with PSG.
Andy Brassell, The Pitch Prospect’s European correspondent, now says that discussions between the parties have been ongoing for some time.
He told The Pitch Prospect: “PSG have denied [being in talks]but sources claim that the two parties have been in talks for a long time, only this time Mohamed Salah has opened the door.
“So of course he could officially sign for PSG from January 1 if he wanted to.”
“It’s not long now. Publicly, PSG takes the position that we are happy that we have left the era of superstars behind us.”
“If they get the opportunity to sign Mohamed Salah, there is no way they can turn it down. There is absolutely no way to refuse it.”
“Whether Mohamed Salah wants this news to come out so he can put a bit of pressure on Liverpool, that wouldn’t surprise me.”
“What an opportunity this would be for PSG.”
PSG, currently leaders of Ligue 1, can no longer rely on French international Kylian Mbappe after his move to Real Madrid in the summer.
And while Salah may turn 33 next June, he is still an exciting candidate if he arrives on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

After Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Southampton last month, the Egyptian winger admitted in a rare interview that he was “more out than in” during contract negotiations with Liverpool.
He is also heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
Last month The Pitch Prospect reported that Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal wanted to sign Salah and Saudi bosses wanted him to face former PSG star Lionel Messi at next summer’s Club World Cup.
Liverpool rejected a huge £150m offer for the Al Ittihad winger in September 2023. Al Hilal was also interested at the time.
Liverpool followed up their late win at St Mary’s with a 2-0 win over Real Madrid on Wednesday before handing Manchester City the same result on Sunday.
The Reds remain at the top of the Champions League and Premier League and are currently nine points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
Salah scored in the win over Man City, converting a penalty in the 78th minute after Stefan Ortega brought down Luis Diaz in the penalty area.
With 11 goals so far, he is now one goal behind Erling Haaland and is the league’s top scorer this season.
The Egyptian has scored 224 goals for Liverpool in 369 appearances in all competitions.
