Alexander-Arnold was linked with a move to Madrid earlier this year and with no new contract agreed at Liverpool, speculation has returned.
According to reports from Spain, the England international has informed his current club that he wants to move to Madrid.
However, The Pitch Prospect understands this is premature as negotiations over a new contract at Anfield are still ongoing.
Alexander-Arnold recently insisted details of a potential new contract at his boyhood club would be kept secret.
A move to Madrid would make him the latest Galactico signing after Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.
However, this would end a 20-year tenure at Liverpool in which he has made 332 appearances across all competitions.
Alexander-Arnold was instrumental in their Champions League and Premier League successes in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
Jurgen Klopp spent most of his Liverpool career at the top, with the right-back in tears after the German’s final game in May.
He could be one of three big stars to leave at the end of the season, with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk’s contracts also ending in June.
Uncertainty about her future remains, and Arne Slot is unwilling to provide updated information about her situation.

“It would be a surprise if I announced that one of them had extended, so I think that’s at another time.”
“But yeah, just keep asking because that’s your job, but you probably won’t get an answer from me.”
“But it is clear that things may change for you from January 1st, but they are in constant discussions with the club and let us wait and see what happens.”
“As long as they keep it up, I have to say the manager or the head coach is happy with them.”
