Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of signing Randal Kolo Muani this month have been dashed by reports of strong interest from Serie A giants Juventus.
Kolo Muani, a €90 million summer 2023 signing, has fallen out of favor under Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique and is available for a transfer this month, with a number of clubs exploring a loan move.
Man Utd and Spurs have both made contact about a move for the Frenchman, but Gianluca Di Marzio notes that competitor Juventus has decided to bet on Kolo Muani in the January window.
Juve’s desire to sign a new striker this month is no secret. They have looked at West Ham’s Niclas Fullkrug and Man Utd’s Joshua Zirkzee, but Kolo Muani is believed to be their top priority in the coming weeks.
There is confidence in Turin that the 26-year-old will be open to the move and Juve are now working quickly to complete a deal ahead of the competition.
PSG is looking for a new striker to replace Kolo Muani. Talks are underway with Napoli about winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is also of interest to Man Utd, while Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku is among the targets.
Once PSG find a replacement, they are expected to give the green light to Kolo Muani’s departure.
