Manchester United are among the teams eyeing £40million-rated Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki – two years after missing the chance to snap him up for a fraction of that price.
Suzuki was about to move from Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds to the Red Devils in the summer of 2023.

But he didn’t want to be second choice to new Andre Onana and instead opted to go on loan to Belgian minnows Sint-Truiden.
Parma then paid £8.5 million to bring the Japan international to Serie A, where he earned rave reviews and caught the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Chelsea also considered signing the 22-year-old last summer before bringing in Dane Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal and continued to monitor his progress.
Parma hope they can keep Suzuki for at least another season, but a big offer would test that resolve.
Is Antony’s nightmare at Old Trafford over?
Real Betis are ready to offer Antony a way out of his misery at Manchester United – on one condition!
The Spanish side have expressed interest in signing £86million flop Antony on loan.
However, they want United to pay more than half of his wages, which are estimated to be around £200,000 a week.
United are hoping more clubs come to the table before a final decision is made, although Antony has apparently already expressed concerns about a possible move to Greek club Olympiacos.
The Brazilian has played just 34 minutes since being sent off by United coach Ruben Amorim 55 minutes into United’s Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat to Tottenham on December 19.
His only goal this season came in the 7-0 win against League One side Barnsley in the third round in September.

The price of Silva
According to The Pitch Prospect, clubs interested in signing manager Marco Silva from Fulham will have to pay an £8million release clause.
Silva was on United’s list of potential candidates to replace Erik ten Hag last summer and also has admirers at London giants Tottenham and Chelsea.
We can also reveal that West Ham made preliminary inquiries about Silva ahead of Graham Potter’s appointment.
However, owner David Sullivan was unwilling to pay the layoff fee.
The Portuguese coach is contracted to Craven Cottage until the summer of 2026 after rejecting interest from Saudi Arabia to finalize his future in October 2023.
Silva has led Fulham to ninth place in the Premier League table in 20 games so far this season.

Ferguson is wanted by the EPL for four
Brighton are yet to make a final decision on Evan Ferguson’s future despite fielding inquiries from a number of Premier League rivals.
Everton and West Ham are both interested in signing Ferguson on loan this month.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth and Arsenal are also in the market for a new No.9 due to injuries – Evanilson and Gabriel Jesus are both out.
But with Ferguson only just back in training after an ankle injury and concerns remaining over the fitness of Danny Welbeck and Joao Pedro, the Seagulls will wait until late tonight before making the final decision.
Ferguson has only started two Premier League games all season and is said to be keen to play regularly.
Another Brighton player who could move out on loan this month is Paraguayan playmaker Julio Enciso.

The 20-year-old is wanted by several Premier League and European clubs.
Enciso has never been directly involved in a goal in eleven games in the top flight this season.
