Man City ‘agree’ huge deal for Bundesliga star

Manchester City have agreed to a deal Sign According to a report, Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush is included.

Pep Guardiola’s defending champions have been unusually weak this season. After a fast start and a ruinous pre-Christmas spiral, City are sixth and have fewer Premier League goals than midfielders Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur.

The club’s Catalan coach publicly appealed to the club in January to demand extensive reinforcements. Guardiola’s call to arms was heard.

After extensive negotiations, City finally reached an “agreement in principle” with Eintracht Frankfurt for the in-form striker, it is said RMC Sport‘S Fabrice Hawkins.

Just the night before this news broke, The athletic one claimed City had received an offer rejected by Frankfurt, but insisted a deal was still on the cards. The Bundesliga side have been very open about their highly rated Marmoush, who has only been bettered by Bayern Munich talisman Harry Kane in Germany’s top flight this season.

The Egypt international joined Frankfurt from Wolfsburg on a free transfer just 18 months ago but is valued at around €80m (£67m) by his current employers.

City have already committed more than £60m this month to the impending additions of young centre-backs Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov. Kyle Walker may be on his way to leaving the Etihad but City are unlikely to demand a transfer fee for the 34-year-old.

Frankfurt meets Borussia Dortmund on Friday evening. Marmoush started the club’s first game back after the winter break and put Frankfurt ahead in a 4-1 win over Freiburg. However, due to the advanced negotiations, the upcoming league game will probably be canceled.
