Chelsea will look to end their miserable run of five Premier League games without a win when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday evening.
The Blues stumbled into draws or defeats in games against Everton, Fulham, Ipswich Town, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, with the brief title contenders now looking to retain their place in Champions League qualifying.
While Chelsea are going through a difficult period, they can take comfort from their recent clash with Wolves. After suffering three consecutive defeats against the Midlands side, Noni Madueke’s hat-trick inspired the Blues to a 6-2 win at Molineux in August.
The six-goal defeat came under Gary O’Neil and new coach Vitor Pereira will be keen to improve on that result and his performance on Monday night. Two defeats in a row mean Wolves are still desperately fighting relegation, but they have shown signs of life under the Portuguese coach.
Here is 90 minutes Preview of the collision.

Enzo Maresca has revealed that talisman Cole Palmer is one of several doubts ahead of Monday’s game. The attacking midfielder, along with Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia and Enzo Fernandez, did not train on Friday and will be assessed shortly before kick-off.
The Blues are still without long-term absentees Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile in defence, with the former likely to be out for the remainder of the season, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also missing from the engine room.
Mykhailo Mudryk remains suspended after failing a drug test.
Predicted Chelsea line-up against Wolves (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; James, Chalobah, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.
The good news for Pereira was that Matheus Cunha returned from suspension against Newcastle, although the Wolves star was unable to prevent his team from suffering a 3-0 defeat at St James’ Park.
Worse still, Wolves will be without a number of players for the trip to Stamford Bridge, with Toti Gomes and Yerson Mosquera missing in defence. The latter will miss the rest of the season.
Enzo Gonzalez and Sasa Kalajdzic are long-term absentees, while Boubacar Traore has yet to make his comeback despite being close to a return to the first team.
Predicted line-up for Wolves against Chelsea (3-4-3): Sat; Doherty, S. Bueno, Agbadou; Semedo, Andre, J. Gomes, Ait-Nouri; Guedes, Cunha; Larsen Beach.
Chelsea have proven unpredictable in recent weeks, failing to win on five occasions despite going into each game as favorites. It is expected that they will also triumph on Monday evening, even if their home record is not particularly inspiring (4 wins, 4 draws, 2 defeats).
However, their defensive problems and possible absences ahead of the clash could prove successful for their visitors, who have attacking threats of their own in the returning Cunha and powerful striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
It’s likely to be an entertaining affair with Chelsea perhaps able to pick up an important win.
