Celtic return to the Champions League on Wednesday evening and host Swiss youth club Young Boys.
The Scottish giants are looking for a priceless win that would all but secure their place in the play-offs. Three points are expected against the winless Young Boys, who only conceded 22 goals and scored just three goals in their six league phase games.
Celtic have impressed in Europe this season despite their 7-1 humiliation at Borussia Dortmund on matchday two, with two wins and three draws earning them nine points. That’s as many as reigning European champions Real Madrid have managed and more than Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain.
Here is 90 minutes Guide for an exciting duel between the Bhoys.

Brendan Rodgers will have almost his entire first-team squad available on Wednesday evening and will only be without James Forrest, who has been absent since the Scottish League Cup final win against rivals Rangers in mid-December.
Celtic have allowed two players to leave the club on loan in the January window: Stephen Welsh moved to Belgian club KV Mechelen and Odin Thiago Holm moved to Los Angeles FC.
Expected Celtic line-up against Young Boys (4-3-3): Schmeichel; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty, Taylor; Engels, McGregor, Hatate; Kuhn, Furuhashi, Maeda.
Former Switzerland assistant coach Giorgio Contini is now the Young Boys coach, but the 51-year-old drew against bottom-placed Winterthur in his first game as the club’s coach at the weekend. After the traumatic first half of the 2024/25 season for the Swiss team, he is trying to maintain balance.
Contini will be without several players for the trip to Glasgow: Miguel Chaiwa, Saidy Janko and Christian Fassnacht are missing. Facinet Conte and Abdu Conte are also out.
Expected Young Boys line-up against Celtic (4-2-3-1): Cellar; Blum, Zoukrou, Benito, Hadjam; Ugrin, Lakomy; Virginius, Monteiro, Colley; Itten.
The Young Boys have been in disastrous form this season, finishing ninth in the 12-team Swiss Super League and finishing last in the 36-club Champions League. They have been particularly poor in defense and Contini fears the worst before traveling to a raucous Celtic Park on Wednesday.
Celtic should secure a somewhat routine win against the Swiss side, with their superior quality likely to overwhelm their opponents. The Scottish side have form and confidence and should take a big step towards Champions League knockout qualification for the first time since 2012/13.
