Juventus has announced the completion of a loan act Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
Even with Kylian Mbappe leaving PSG last summer, Kolo Muani has struggled for minutes and has barely featured for the Ligue 1 champions since September.
Juventus have paid an initial loan fee of €1m, which could rise by a further €2m depending on various performance-based conditions. Additional costs of €2.6 million were also confirmed.
Kolo Muani began making his name in Nantes, followed by a move to Eintracht Frankfurt as a free agent in 2022. A breakout season in Germany, where he was also part of France’s World Cup squad in Qatar, soon prompted PSG to move pay out, from 80 m.
But Kolo Muani’s Rapid Rise hit the bricks in France. He scored just nine goals in 40 appearances in all competitions last season and has just two to his name in the current campaign.
There have been tentative links with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. The latter was said to have made an offer to agree a deal with PSG in the days leading up to Juventus, while there was additional interest from the Premier League from Aston Villa, West Ham United and Everton.
In recent days, existing Juventus front-man Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a possible exit. Chelsea is the team most closely linked to the Serbia International.
