Star winger Saka is not expected to return to action until at least March following thigh surgery.
Meanwhile, Jesus also went under the knife, but he could miss up to a year after racing his anterior cruciate ligament for the second time.
With Arsenal six points behind league leaders Liverpool and without two key attackers, fans are desperate for new additions to solve a lack of creativity in the duo’s absence.
There are also fears that Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard would be unlikely to pick up a knock with the trio in the last month.
And speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s clash at Wolves at Wolves, he reiterated his desire for signings when asked if he believes it is a necessity for a striker to be brought in.
To which he stated: “My message is clear, we have lost two very important players – Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.
“We lack goals, we lack people, we lack options in the front, it’s clear.”
He pressed again on whether it is important for Arsenal to strengthen their attack, noting: “If we can get the right player, that’s why we’re actively looking at it.
“Any player? No. Someone who will make us better and have an impact on the team.
“It is clear that for the time we lost them [Saka and Jesus]Ideally, we need help.

“Because we were already very short and now we’re even shorter, but the team is still coping.
“But we have to do what’s right for the club.”
Arteta then admitted that it is a real possibility that Arsenal are not bringing in fresh faces in news relating to Gooner.
He explained: “That’s an option, it doesn’t depend on us. It doesn’t just depend on Arsenal or Mikel or our will.
“It depends on the market and many other factors.”
It is known that Arsenal are actively looking to do business in January. Club legend David Seaman tells Talksport they are trying “like crazy” to sign a striker.

RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko is believed to be of interest.
There is also interest in Wolves’ versatile striker Mathemas Cunha, who can work either at wing or as a No.8 and No.10.
Cunha has stalled on penning a new deal at Molineux, which has caught Arsenal’s attention ahead of a potential blow.
Arteta was asked about the Brazilian ahead of his possible face-off against the 25-year-old this weekend, but he stopped short.
He simply stated, “I prefer not to talk about individuals.”
But as time passes, Arteta knows if he wants to end Arsenal’s 21-year wait for the League title then the club will need to splash the cash before the window closes.
