Manchester United ended the Europa League ‘League phase’ in third place after the 2-0 result on Thursday evening against FCSB in Romania.
The first half without a destination, in which Ruben Amorim was probably the stronger side, followed a second 45, in which United felt its quality.
Diogo Dalot and Kobbie Mainoo scored around the hour within a few minutes, the latter also helped the first to give the red devils the room.
But they also had other chances, including Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho, who both met the woodwork, while Altay Bayindir kept the clean leaf with a handful of important parades when FCSB searched back into the game late.
