Manchester United scored a 2-0 against FCSB in the Europa League on Thursday. So it was two victories and clean leaves for Ruben Amorim’s team after beating Fulham on Sunday.
Diogo Dalot and Kobbie Mainoo achieved a game in the second half in the second half in the second half, who made it as good as they could, but ultimately the quality was missing.
How the game unfolds
Bucharest’s National Arena was an enemy environment for United and the already loud amount in the incredible stadium broke out after ten minutes when it looked as if Mihai Popescu had given the hosts an early lead. His distant volleye on the Risto Radunovics route in Swing-Freugecker was barely wide, but emphasized a well-known set-piece risk.
United did not have his own chance long when Mainoo made a button and the euro ’96 -er Paul Gascoigne channeled when he waved the ball over a approaching defender, but failed to properly connect with the later shot than he fell. The same player then closed a decent opportunity, 12 meters away after Rasmus Hojlund’s cut from the left channel inside.
Hojlund saw a header that had stayed in the atmosphere by goalkeeper Stefan Tarnovanu for half an hour and the game was played at a decent pace, most of the 45 minutes without more than just a handful of real opportunities.
United had beaten the first half without consistently producing, and it was an FCSB error that almost gave a goal immediately after the restart. The half-time replacement Alejandro Garnacho grabbed a loose back pass, but was only able to send its finish against the outside of the post. The introduction of Garnacho and Amad Diallo provided the Amorim team a new impulse.
Bruno Fernandes rattled from afar only a few moments from Dalot’s breakthrough. Mainoo deserves recognition for the clever run of a throw -in to create the room for a low cross that was drilled towards Dalot, which occurred from the left at the distant post.
FCSB almost immediately hit the crossbar opposite by Daniel Birigea from outside the box, a warning for visitors before Mainoo provided a vital breath. A promising initial step collapsed, but United Pressing quickly won him back, whereby Garnacho’s cutback was quietly rebuilt in the middle of the box with a first finish of the impressive No. 37.
United goalkeeper Alty Bayindir did not let a quiet night influence his concentration when FCSB Marius Stefanescu, Alexandru Baluta and Birigea replaced in the final phase from the Turkey national player. In the end, Fernandes could probably have achieved a third who, after an excellent Backheel from Garnacho, could not be able to wrap his foot around the ball.

United did not have the best start in the Europa League this season and played three games against Twente, Porto and Fenerbahce. But four victories against Paok, Bodo/Glimt, Viktoria Plzen and Rangers saw them from 21st to fourth place in the overall ranking.
This was a fifth victory in a row to ultimately still jump higher, third place, a total of 18 points of 24 and only one point behind Lazio and Athletic Club in the first and second.
Only the eight top eight automatically qualified for the last 16, with the teams taking the ninth up to 24th place in front of a knockout play-off round. The bypass of this stage is of crucial importance for two reasons. First, there are two fewer games to play in an already overloaded schedule. Second, this means two clear runs next month without the middle of the week that Amorim lends with an continuous time on the training ground, of which he had so little.
This was a big one for Kobbie Mainoo. It looked for the 19-year-old as usual when the team list was published before the kick-off. But he effectively exchanged places with Bruno Fernandes, who was in an advanced role, and the captain, who instead took over the deeper central midfield position.
What it did was emphasized a number of attack qualities. Mainoo continuously ran into the inner left channel and proved to be really difficult for FCSB defense. He had two excellent chances of scoring a goal in the first half alone before he started at the start of Diogo Dalot and then scored the second goal of the killer.
It was an interesting role for him and we could see again with these evidence.
Alejandro Garnacho did not start the game because he had previously been sick, while Ruben Amadim Amad Diallo described as “across the borders” in terms of tiredness. Both players made a big difference when they arrived during the break, especially Garnacho.
The Argentinian offered United United additional equipment that they did not have in the first half, asked questions from FCSB, reached the post and created the goal of Mainoos.
There were suggestions that he does not play a clear role in an Amorim system. But after a short spell, he has presented regularly in the past few weeks. In view of its impact, whether it has existed in the last days of the transmission window, the question will not be sold in view of its effects, whether it is better.
Toby Collyer made his debut of the first team under Erik Ten Hag, but has clearly made an impression on Amorim in the past few weeks. The 21-year-old praised team-mate Lisandro Martinez from his performance against Fulham with a start here at the weekend.
Including replacement appearances, this was a sixth game in three competitions for Collyer, whose will to put in the hard courtyard in midfield, contributed to the foundation of a foundation. He made space for the more drastic amad at half -time, but he plays a valuable role in himself.
