Manchester United has confirmed that the winter recruit Patrick Dorgu will wear the shirt number 13 for the Red Devils.
Dorgu’s arrival was unveiled on Sunday morning after weeks of speculation about the 20-year-old defender. United was locked up in extensive negotiations with the Lecce of Serie A via the exact transmission fee and finally got her husband for almost 30 million GBP.
The versatile wide man who was bought to make Ruben Amorim a regular outlet on the left Wing-Back was able to celebrate his debut in the Premier League on Sunday with Crystal Palace. However, next to the newcomer Ayden Heaven, he appeared on the Old Trafford Turf before the game to show his shirt number 13.
13 is unlucky for several Manchester United players over the years. Most recently, the goalkeeper of The Third Choice, Lee Grant, were held between 2018 and 2022, which made a total of two high -ranking appearances – these digits had traditionally been reserved for the administrators of United over the years.
Anders Lindegaard, Mark Bosnich and Roy Carroll’s misfortune have been discovered over the years with this traditionally unfortunate number on their backs.
The South Korean midfielder Park Ji-Sung is probably the United player who is closest to the number 13 of United. In seven seven seasons, the Kultheld only made more than 200 appearances for the Red Devils in 13 more than 200 appearances. The tireless midfielder quickly became the favorite of Legendary Manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who tore with such relentless energy on the field, was called the “third lungs”.
