Tottenham Hotspur defeated his rivals in North London to sign Mason Melia for a record fee of the Ireland league.
Melia left St. Patrick’s Sports against a reported initial fee of 1.6 million GBP and signed a deal in which he changes a contract for a five -year contract in January 2026.

The unusual time of the move is due to Brexit-related regulations.
Melia had previously been on trial in Manchester City and reported that Arsenal was interested.
Chelsea, Everton, Celtic and Bayer Leverkusen were also connected.
Spurs also strengthened her youth series with Luca Furnell-Gill from Liverpool, Daniel Batty from Manchester City and Reiss Russell-Denney from Chelsea, all of which appear in this window.

Melia was regularly in the youth groups for the Republic of Ireland and represented it at the European U17 Championship final 2023. In October 2024 he received his first assignment in the U21 squad of the Republic of Ireland.
