The leaders of the Premier League, Liverpool, were unloaded the FA Cup from 1-0 value on a Plymouth Argyle team on Sunday.
A young Liverpool team, which Joe Gomez lost early, tried to settle in a cage first half that only gave a shot on the goal. Plymouth was happy to try her luck on the counter and definitely had her moments without creating something before the break.
The fairy tale rose seven minutes after the restart. Harvey Elliott received a penalty for a clear handball, and Ryan Hardie took the chance to shoot his side from 12 meters.
Hardie hit the position shortly afterwards when Plymouth was looking for a second, while a breathtaking block by Matthew Sorinola Luis Diaz refused, which looked like a tap-in at the other end, increasingly worried as a Liverpool.
Liverpool came again and again and when the clock continued, Plymouth began to defend her life. Sorinola, Nikola Katic and Maksym Talovierov combined for a number of excellent blocks, and Conor Hazard saved the day with two great diving to refuse Diogo and Jarell Quansah in the stop time to seal a famous victory for the hosts.
