Man Utd are a bigger club with more pressure than Tottenham

The head coach of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, expressed sympathy for his Tottenham Hotspur -Gegenstück Poseteclou before the two fighting clubs collided on Sunday, but insisted that he was faced with greater challenges in view of the glittering history of United.

Both historical giants endure domestic campaigns that have broken records for the wrong reason. With just about a third of the season, United and Spurs are sunk together in the 13th and 14th place.

When asked whether he had a sympathy for Postecoglou, Amorim replied: “Of course, especially because he is a good guy. He is a very good coach. He wants to play football in the right way, for me this is a good one for me Matter.

“If we choose this profession, there are many good things, but then you have to feel this pressure if you don’t win.

“In my opinion, with all respect in a larger club with greater pressure. I understand the connection and he is a really important trainer to follow his principles.”

Both clubs have been fetched from every domestic cup and it is unlikely that they will qualify for European competition next season next season and will leave the Europa League as the only remaining opportunity for success.

Amorim returned to his appreciation of the Spurs boss. “I am a big fan of Poseteclou,” emphasized the United head coach. “I come from another culture, I am Portuguese and all Portuguese coaches can adapt. I have adapted. The simple is that I am currently using a system at the same time.

“But we do not win games and I understand the connection between me and anxiety, we have the same problems.”

Postecoglou was less emphatic in his praise for Amorim and was based on the general claim: “I have respect for all managers because I know how hard it is.”

The Australian trainer suggested that United be stupid to relieve the 40-year-old tactician so soon after his appointment. “If you stayed with Ruben in the next two years, they would see absolutely progress because it takes so long,” emphasized Postecoglou.

“If someone can show me someone who has done it faster without significant investments, definitely put it over my desk and I will follow this blueprint.”
