Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw makes black power salute after racist incident

The Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw from Manchester City carried out the Black Power Salute after achieving the opening goal against Liverpool in the Super League of women (WSL).

The striker started her first WSL start since she injured the leg in December and achieved a clip to help the Cityzens to win a 4-0 win in the Joie Stadium.

Shaw celebrated her opening goal. She lowered her head and raised her right fist to show the black power greeting. The striker’s mighty celebration comes just a few weeks after it was racist and misogynis after the team’s defeat against Arsenal in Manchester at the beginning of the month.

Shaw pulled out of the squad to face the Gunners in the league semi-final just a few days after the event. In the meantime, the club is to carry out an investigation by the perpetrators that Shaw sent online the hideous abuse.

Players and fans have gone on social media in the past few weeks to express their support for Shaw and to condemn the hideous treatment that has been subjected to them. The Joie Stadium opened last night to give the striker ovation when she left the field after 60 minutes.

Shaw remains one of the best players who has ever seen the WSL and collected the golden boot in the 2023/24 season after their outstanding campaign for Manchester City. She leads the indictment again and has scored 11 goals this season, even though she had come on the side with an injury on the edge on the edge.
