Arsenal given huge encouragement in pursuit of key transfer target

Fran Garagarza, Sports Director of Espanyol, has admitted that the Arsenal goal, Joan Garcia, could leave this summer, even if a club does not trigger its release clause.

After the sale of backup goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale last summer, Arsenal Garcia was targeting, but was thrown back in the window with a bid of € 20 million, which instead triggered a loan step for Bournemouth’s Neto.

After Neto’s loan in summer, Arsenal is expected to develop her interest in Garcia again this summer. The 23-year-old contract includes a release clause of € 25 million (£ 20.7 million), which in the last 15 days of the transmission window increases to € 30 million (€ 24.8 million).

When asked whether Espanyol would only approve Garcia’s sale, if a club triggered its publication clause, Garagarza admitted that he would like to hear appropriate offers as long as they come in the window as arsenal summer approach.

“Is it a clause or nothing? No,” said Garagarza Pericos Marca. “In the summer window with a call from Arsenal last week it has to be [clause].

“But if you receive an offer on June 14th, which is not the clause, but is tight in fixed and variable quantities, Espanyol will not say no. We cannot say no. If a club with € 8 million for Joan Garcia If that’s a bad sale, 100%.

Garcia has recognized that a summer departure from Espanyol is best suited for everyone. The goalkeeper is interested in taking the next step of his career and raising a significant fee to help his current employers who are only one point above the relegation zone.
