Monaco could also have been potential opponents for the red, based on the league phase position, but they were beaten over two legs by the Portuguese giant Benfica.

Liverpool was confronted 14 times in front of the Lisbon side, most recently in 2021/22 on the way to the final. They last fought with the Parisers in 2018/19 during the group phase of the Champions League.

It is quite obvious that Liverpool wants to avoid in the last 16 PSGs. The French side has a non -convincing start to its Champions League.

PSG scored eleven goals in its last three league excursions to qualify for the play-off round, and defeated Brest with 10: 0 in total during her opening CO. With Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola in devastating form and interpreting like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha and Achraf Hakimi, Liverpool will desperately want to avoid the reigning Ligue -1 Champions.

Darwin Nunez’s former employer, Benfica, would prove to be much easier for Liverpool, although the ex-Wolverhmpton Hikers boss Bruno Lage contributed to stabilizing the Portuguese outfit since he replaced Roger Schmidt at the beginning of this season.

This season they set four past Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in Europe – although they still somehow lost to the former – and also defeated Juventus in the league phase. You will still be unpleasant opponents for the red.
