Enzo Maresca provides brief update on latest Chelsea defensive injury blow

Enzo Maresca presented an injury update about the defender of Chelsea Trevoh Chalobah, who was forced to Aston Villa on Saturday just eight minutes after the Premier League was defeated.

Although Chalobah was frozen last summer last summer, he was recalled from the loan in Crystal Palace last month with regard to internal injuries and has been a regular starter in recent weeks.

It was therefore a reason to see how the 25-year-old withdrew so early, with Tosin Adarabioyo replacing him and completing the game when Chelsea took the lead, but finally lost.

However, it does not appear that it is something worrying, and Maresca said that the early signs of Chalobah are positive, although a more detailed assessment is required.

“We will see it is early. He looks pretty good now,” the Italian told reporters.

Benoit Badishile and Wesley Fofana are currently, while Chelsea Axel Disasi was able to join the Aston Villa at the end of the transfer window in January after being classified as excess.

Fofana was able to return to the plot before the international break of March, although it initially suspected that he might no longer be able to play this season. However, Maresca has still emphasized how important the Frenchman is, who was not hurried back to fitness. Badiahile is expected to be available somewhat earlier and described by Maresca as a “process” to get back to the squad.

The recent burglary of the form that has set up is more direct concern for Chelsea. The defeat on Saturday was fourth in the last five games in all competitions and only took three points from the last 12 in the Premier League.

The Blues Face Bottom Club Southampton on the Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening should be a banker, although nothing is guaranteed, since 2025 has developed so far.
