Supercomputer predicts Championship promotion race after Leeds beat Sheffield Utd

The championship promotion races set an incredibly high bar last season, and Leeds, this time, intend to limit the drama.

Daniel Farke’s team fought violently against Leicester and Ipswich Town to return to the Premier League on the first attempt, but faded late and let himself be delivered to the notoriously unpredictable play-offs.

After a semi-finals with Norwich had been navigated with ease, Southampton sneaked past them in the richest game of sport under the Wembley sheet. Winked another season in the second stage.

However, Leeds have refused to do suffering themselves. While it was looking for a large part of 2024/25 that the Yorkshiremes would have another three-way dispute for the championship crown, they withdrawn a few major results on the summit in February.

With the leadership of Farkes, which leads the way, the supercomputer supercomputer projects the 2024/25 championship promotion.

Leeds was nowhere in the first 20 minutes of Monday evening in Bramall Lane, but visitors found their groove in the middle of the first half and were finally rewarded late in the second half for their superiority.

Junior Firpo canceled Illan Meslier’s own goal before “Farke Time” met again when Ao Tanaka went home 89 minutes after the competition. Joel Piroes rocket was only the cherry on the cake when Leeds moved five points on the summit.

After the result on Monday, Opta now evaluates her chances of receiving automatic action at 98.1%. They are seven points better than Burnley in third place.

The Bullish of the supercomputer in Leeds’ chances, but can hardly separate the other two leading competitors. Sheffield UTD is two points better than the Clarets in the second, but Opta prefers Burnley in the promotion race by only 0.48%.

Sunderland is the only other team with a slit of hope to earn automatic advertising, but defeats in February means that they probably have to be satisfied with a play-off place.

A whole series of teams will fight for the last two play-off places, with only seven points in the fifth and QPR play on the 14th place of West Brom. Opta is currently projecting the baggies to end the fifth and Frank Lampard’s Coventry to sneak up to the last place. Blackburn, who has just lost Manager John Eustace on Derby, hardly misses.

Bristol City, Norwich and Watford are currently classified as outsiders.
