FA launches new ‘Made for this Game’ campaign to keep driving women’s football


The FA has launched a new campaign to unlock all women and girls the equal opportunities to access football, participate and thrive.

The start follows the success of the “Let Girls Play” campaign from FA, which is committed to the introduction of government policy to ensure that girls in schools are equally available. In the campaign, the number of women and girls who played football increased by 56%, an increase in the number of trainers and an increase in referees by 113%.

“Made for this game” it says that the time for permission to play football has ended in order to empower women and girls to take their lawful space on the field. The campaign intends to grasp every aspect of the game, be it players, coaches or referees.

The campaign actions of the FA engagement for the growth of the women’s play, which is explained by the strategy of women and girls in 2024-28.

Sue Day, FA Director of Women’s Football, raised the intended effects that have the management committee that will exercise the campaign.

“We are clear that we cannot rest on our laurels when it comes to driving the growth in women’s and girls playing,” DAY pressed. “We created for this game to repeat every woman and every girl in the country a clear message that football is a sport where they belong regardless of age, ability or background.”

“The time to convince people that girls are allowed to play has long since disappeared. While so much progress has been made to create opportunities for women and girls in football, we know that there is so much more to do so that the hard work to do real equality throughout the game continues.”
