Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted his disappointment that Scott McTominay was able to leave Manchester United last summer.
Solskjaer left United at the end of 2021 after led at the top for almost three years after led the club to second and third place in the Premier League and reached the final of the Europa League 2020/21.
During the term of Solskja, McTominay made 115 appearances in all competitions, a Tally that was only improved by six outdoor field players, and the current Besiktas boss admitted that he was sad to see McTominay sold.
“Scotty is doing well with Napoli,” said Solskjaer The athlete. “I am angry that we let him go because he was important last season when he kept showing goals. His heart and knowledge of the culture were important.
“It’s still nice to see Bruno Fernandes and Harry [Maguire] doing well.”
United’s fights have only grown since Solskjaer’s departure. Ralf Rangnicks brought many of the problems in the changing room light that the next permanent boss, Erik Ten Hag, had ultimately not repaired before Ruben was replaced by Ruben Amorim.
When asked whether the recent expenses should be reminiscent of his term in office, Salskjaer admitted: “These last six weeks were difficult, I cannot deny that, but we were also the top of our group of Champions League.
“They were the two games against [Manchester] City and Watford did it, but I say that the second and third parties were not bad in my two full seasons given the level in the Premier League. We have also reached a European final, but I see what Jose [Mourinho] means when he says that his best performance was to bring his united team to second place in the league. “
Solskjaer was completed by warning against the dangers to continue to change, and asked the club to show more patience and give their bosses the time to build a squad that they can call their own.
“I found out that the manager plays with the players of the previous manager,” admitted Solskjaer.
“I only remember a great time at United, apart from the past six weeks. Great people – and the culture is in people. Go back to United was like returning to my family as if I had never been away.”
