Barcelona Manager Hansi Flick has confirmed that the central defender Andreas Christensen is on the side with another Injury Worries.
Christensen suffered an Achilles problem in the first game of the season and spent the next four months on the side. He returned to the bench in January, just because of a muscle injury in training to prevent him from celebrating his official comeback.
The dane was once again depressed by the same muscle problem, whereby the flick tells the press conference on Saturday that Christiansen will not be available for the foreseeable future.
“We have to wait and see how serious it is,” said the German boss. “Let’s hope it’s not too serious.”
It is leaving Christenses back in all competitions this season with only 26 minutes of action after he has only been seen in three Matchday teams since his first setback in August.
Ronald Araujo’s recent return from the injury contributed to reducing the pressure on Christians, returning, but also giving the dane a difficult task to prove itself under the patch. Pau Comatarsi and Inigo Martinez are his clear favorites, with Araujo and Eric Garcia cover.
After Christensen has occurred in the last 18 months of his contract, he should be available for the transfer this summer because Barcelona tries to collect as much money as possible before his value decreases.
