Arsenal Manager Mikel Areta left an interview after his team’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday after he was asked about the title chances of the Premier League in the Premier League.
The Gunners are now 15 points behind the leaders Liverpool, after playing a game less than their competitors, after an incompatible performance on Sunday tried to flee with one point.
After the game, Areteta spoke to Sky Sport About the fights of his side in front of the gate. When asked whether he regretted not signing a striker, Areta insisted on it, “it is not about” and began to move away from the interview before he was withdrawn for another question.
“Mikel, one more?” Asked reporter Patrick Davison. “I have to ask you about the title race because there are now 15 points …”
“No,” replied a spiky arteta. Davison then asked if the 15-point gap was simply “too much”, but Areteta went away and said “Thank you” when he left.
Areta then went to his press conference after the game, on which a similar question was foreseeable. This time, however, the Arsenal boss was ready to react.
“I don’t want to say [the race is over]But today is the frustration that we have not won our game, we know the urgency and they are obliged to win every single game, “said Arteta.
