Santos President Marcelo Teixeira has Neymar as “happy”, “joyful” and – repeated – “committed”, despite growing speculation about A “committed” transfer to Europe.
During the winter window, Neymar returned to Vila Belmiro after a desperately overwhelming magic in Al Hilal and wrote a short -term deal until June 30th. A serious ACL injury detached the 18-month stay of the 33-year-old in Saudi Arabia, but his quick life in Brazil has triggered the admiring glances from all over the continent.
Barcelona was strongly connected to her former winger, while the Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga also performed as a surprise representative. However, Santos are absolutely interested in extending the existing contract of Neymar.
“The most difficult part is over what he had here” Marca this week. “We will see the technical answer and the results of the club. We are working on sponsoring … He has already shown that he is not worried about the financial aspect.
“The entire technical committee accompanied him to his games; everyone supports Santos, the whole country. And that will influence the possibility that it will stay here in the near future. The national team called back him.”
Teixeira confirmed twice that Neymar in Santos “is committed to the project” and welcomed the productive playmaker as “happy, he is happy and focused on being an important factor in Santos”.
Financial motivation does not seem to be the decisive factor for Neymar – which has offered the loud wages of the world’s richest teams in the past ten years. Teixeira confirmed that Santos could not match any of the economic offers with Neymar with clubs outside of Brazil and described the player’s decision as “a question of feeling”.
With regard to emotional train, there is the obvious attraction of Barcelona. Teixeira insisted that Santos still have a “very healthy relationship” despite the legal complications that resulted from the move from Neymar to Catalonia in 2013. Neymar has already found the network three times.
