Arsenal Manager Mikel Areta revealed that Bukayo Saka will return to competitive training units during the international break, while he returns to full fitness from a serious thigh injury.
The recovery of Saka turns into more than just a mild obsession for Arsenal fans. The club’s talisman wing player has been equipped with a torn armpit hemin since December this season as the team’s most productive creator. In fact, no other player can have more than half of the Tally from Sakas ten Premier League assists.
End of the season injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus have exaggerated Saka’s absence even further. The Gunners were forced to join the defensive midfielder Mikel Merino as a striker for the previous five games.
However, there is a growing flicker of hope that Saka’s return is on the horizon.
“He will be here next week. Hopefully with the ball with his feet,” said Areteta reporters before the Chelsea visited on Sunday afternoon. “That will mean that he shoots and runs. He has already done quite a bit on the field. The next one is to integrate and see how it is coordinated.”
Areta’s injury updates must be taken with caution. The Arsenal boss emphasized that Gabriel Martinelli – like Saka – failed until April and welcomed the Brazilian striker to Old Trafford for the trip to Old Trafford last weekend.
Oleksandr Zinchenko previously described the extraordinary steps that Areteta took to confuse the opponents. “I saw as he said injured players that they should come into the team bus and go to the changing room with their wash bag to get the other manager out of the fragrance,” the full -back at the beginning of this season revealed.
Areta has already planned Real Madrid with Real Madrid for the quarter -finals of the Arsenal Champions League next month. The first leg in the Emirates is planned for April 8 and in doubt Saka’s participation. It remains to be seen whether he will be back on April 16 for returning in Spain.
