Ange Postecoglou brands Tottenham ‘unacceptable’ after 15th Premier League defeat

Postecoglou, Manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has admitted that 15 defeats of the Premier League are “nowhere good enough”, and swears not to leave the domestic campaign for a depreciation.

The loss against Fulham on Sunday means that Spurs was beaten in more than half of their 29 division this season. They are ten points of the upper half, have come from the Carabao Cup in the semi-finals and are already out of the FA Cup.

The only realistic way to save the season – and ensure that European football in 2025/26 is on the calendar is to go all the way in the Europa League. Since the European qualification through the Premier League effectively was questioned, this would provide an automatic league of the Champions League.

It would also be seen that Poseteclou to deliver cutlery in a club in a second season, and to break Spurs’ long -time drought, which extended to 18 years.

The Spurs will be against Lazio or Bodo/Glimt against Lazio or Bodo/Glimt in the quarterfinals next month against Lazio or Bodo/Glimt. If Manchester United is successful on the other side of the holder, there could be an all-English final in Warsaw in May.

However, Postecoglou is firmly convinced that he will not be the sole focus of Europe for the remaining ten weeks of the season at the expense of the results still pursued in the Premier League.

“I said to the players that I wouldn’t just let anyone think of Europe and anything else. We can’t run this league season as it has. We have lost far too many games, unacceptable,” he said.

Postecoglou discussed the 2-0 defeat against Fulham, in which both goals in Craven Cottage were scored in the last 15 minutes: “I understand that the frustrations of the followers were another day. We let a game thrown away from us if we were not.

“The opposition didn’t blow us out of the park. For 75 minutes we have been where we wanted to be, the fact that we don’t get out of this game is disappointing.”

The last time Spurs had lost 15 leading leagues in this phase of a season in 1997/98, while since 2003/04 they have not suffered more than 15 defeats in a 38-game league campaign than 19 defeats contributed to a low 14th place. They have not fallen that far since then, but they are currently taking the same position in the table with nine games to play again.
