Juventus confirm departure of manager Thiago Motta

Juventus confirmed the departure of the manager Thiago Motta, which was replaced in the shelter of Igor Tudor.

Motta only came to Juventus last summer, but spent the last few weeks under immense pressure after a number of overwhelming results had decreased in the race to qualify for the Champions League of the next season.

There were suggestions that Motta would get at least one more chance to save his position, but Juve has now confirmed that they cut relationships with the Italian and replaced him by Tudor, a former deputy manager in the club.

“Juventus FC announces that Thiago Motta has made it easier for his tasks as a coach of the men’s first team,” says an explanation.

“The club thanks Thiago Motta and all of its employees for the demonstrated professionalism and for the work with passion and commitment carried out during these months and wished them the best for the future.

“Juventus FC also announces that Igor Tudor entrusted the leadership of the men’s first team to head the first training session tomorrow.”

Motta leaves Juventus after 42 players and ends with a record of 18 wins, 16 draws and eight defeats in all competitions.

It is the case that Tally Od draws, which proved the biggest problem for Motta. Juve made only one point of 13 league games under his watch – more than on any other side – and fell to fifth place in Serie A classification, 12 points behind Leaders Inter.
