Barcelona preparing contract offer for Premier League transfer target

Barcelona is to prepare a new range of contracts for Ferran Torres, which has settled in his role as an impact sub and general attack cover.

Torres did not often start the games this season – only ten of his 32 appearances in all competitions – with Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, the preferred front three.

But for good reason, the Spanish international is the first alternative to every member of the attacking trident ahead of Ansu Fati and Pau Victor. There are 13 goals in 2024/25 and, together with two months, do it for Manchester City the joint campaign of his previous career and 2020/21 for Manchester City.

His last two goals were a replacement in the dramatic 4-2 comeback victory against the title of La Liga title Atletico Madrid, who could still prove to be decisive in the place where the trophies landed in May.

Torres’ good shape, along with its limited season, has triggered connections to a number of clubs across Europe. The Aston Villa, Manchester United and Liverpool were appointed applicants for the 25-year-old.

He will soon occur in the last two years of his current contract, but SPORT Writes that Barcelona is interested in fighting two more who need the expiry date by 2029.

Part of the new negotiation is a reward for Torres and the work that he enables.

Since Robert Lewandowski did not go anywhere, although it is 37 years old in August and Alexander Isak is probably out of reach from a financial point of view, it could be an underestimated summer business for Barcelona.
