Manchester United and Manchester City received a boost this summer when pursuing a sporty CP striker Trincao.
The 25-year-old, who had previously borrowed a season with Wolverhampton Wanderers, attracted both Manchester giants after several outstanding seasons in Lisbon.
The wing player scored and supported 21 goals with Sporting in these first two campaigns. During the international break in March in Portugal’s 5-2 demolition in Denmark in the UEFA Nations League, he also achieved a practices.
Trincao was also associated with moves to Arsenal and Newcastle United when England’s elite took note of his remarkable climb, with the Premier League employees received welcome messages about the in-shape attacker.
Record have reported that the Barcelona shopping clause introduced its deal to sell Trincao in June 2024, i.e. the Catalan giants are now unable to buy the Portuguese back for a cut price number.
Barcelona was able to sign Trincao for only 20 million euros during the 2022/23 season and 25 million euros during the following campaign, but did not take the opportunity to bring him back to the club.
The value of Trincao is currently protected by its release clause of € 60 million and Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal, which would meet this sum if they signed it this summer. With his contract until 2027, it is unlikely that sport will accept a little less.
The reigning Portuguese champions desperately try to keep one of their valuable assets after he has already sold Geovany Quenda and Dario Esgo to Chelsea. The Star striker Viktor Gyokoker is expected to leave this summer and is a goal for United and Arsenal.
United already has an advantage on the hunt for Trincao, since the former sports coach Ruben Amorim is currently managing the Red Devils, and they will endeavor to hire attack reinforcements on the summer market given their battles of 2023/24.
At the beginning of his career, Trincao also worked with Amorim near Braga and made a total of 131 appearances for the current United leader.
