Enzo Maresca issues withering putdown of Jadon Sancho form

Enzo Maresca has refused to discuss whether Jadon Sancho will be a Chelsea player next season or not, but the wing player was not good enough this season.

Sancho is loaned by Manchester United, a deal that includes the obligation to buy 25 million GBP. However, it is generally assumed that Chelsea can get out of the payment of a penalty fee of 5 million GBP.

It is rumored that the player should be interested in regaining the former club Borussia Dortmund, where he first made a name for himself between 2017 and 2021 and had a loan magic last season.

“I am very concentrated on nine games and two months, I am completely concentrated,” Maresca told reporters when the topic of Sancho’s future was raised this week.

“Then what happens in summer we will see. The Jadon situation does not change. In terms of numbers, he could undoubtedly do better. It’s not just about Jadon, but we have more players in the same situation,” added the Italian coach.

Sancho did nine target participation in 29 appearances in all competitions this season and only achieved twice. Four years ago, its best side for Dortmund was practically one goal or support per game.

The 25-year-old generally still starts games for Chelsea, but he still has to score a goal in 2025 and his recent support came on January 4 months ago. Sancho itself has actually admitted that he was “annoyed” this season.

Chelsea is now increasingly connected to the Dortmund winger Jamie Gitten, such as Sancho, a young Englishman who has moved to the German club to start his professional football. If Sancho joins Dortmund, whether sold by Chelsea or was unloaded by Manchester United, he could ironically be the one who replaces the Gitten in Signal Iduna Park.
