Player ratings as Blues held to frustrating draw

Chelsea missed the chance to consolidate her push for a place in the top 4 with an overwhelming 0-0 draw against Brentford on Sunday.

Brentford had the first half in the first half against a Chelsea team who made five changes compared to the 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur in the middle of the week, but the introductions of the second half of Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto contributed to starting visitors.

The trio saw all hit views blocked, but it was Brentford who had the best chance of the game. Sepp van den Berg had his head in his hands when he jumped a free header across the crossbar ten minutes before the end.

Chelsea leaves fourth place in the overall ranking, but the grace of Manchester City and Newcastle United, both of whom could climb over the blues if they win their games in their hands.
