Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim revealed that he was hoping Sign Promise one or two “big players” in a “decisive” summer transmission window.
The Portuguese boss, who replaced Erik Ten HAG in November, was only spoiled with two newcomers in the winter window. Patrick Dorgu’s wing and 18-year-old Ayden Heaven did not fit exactly to bill a “large” signing.
When Amorim spoke at his press conference before the Manchester Derby on Sunday, he said reporters: “I just want to concentrate on our strengths and bring one or two players with me.”
In order to clarify what he meant by “big players”, Amorim explained: “They are characteristics that we do not have in our squad and try to see the gaps when I say big players that I don’t say about Real Madrid, etc. are big players in the way I see the game.”
Amorim would help the arrival of these esteemed people to fulfill his high ambitions of the challenge for the Premier League title in the near future. However, this attitude collides with the displacement of the transfer policy of United with expensive marquee on younger players who have lower fees and salaries.
In a subsequent interview with Sky SportAmorim repeated this order. “So when I say about recruitment, it is not just the big names and a lot of money. Sometimes it is the player who is 17 years old who is in another top club and has ended his contract and we can use the Manchester United brand to bring this child.
“Sometimes the recruitment means paying attention to these children who have a lot of talent but do not have the place in different clubs to bring them here. And then the academy, we improve this.
Regardless of her transmission activity, Amorim had tried to emphasize how important this summer will be from a purely coaching perspective. In contrast to their city competitors, United are not involved in the World Club Championship and offer you a longer period of time from an international tournament to put together a comprehensive training regime before the season.
“If you look at yourself for the next few years, we will have a World Cup a European Championship,” warned Amorim tired. “So this window will be massive to work on our base.” It remains to be seen which new recruits – and the profile they boast will be involved in this preparation.
