Arsenal’s plans for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins revealed

It is not expected transfer Window is opened again.

After her Premier League title challenge looks great, Arsenal decided to make a sudden delay for Watkins in January when they tried to strengthen Mikel Areteta’s attack options-a decision that they made before they lost the first choice striker Kai Havertz against a season end hamstring injury.

The Gunner’s offer for Watkins was originally assumed to be 60 million GBP, but that was quickly revised to around 45 million GBP – a number that was significantly behind what Villa would have considered vague.

Villa had no real desire to separate from Watkins, who had 13 goals in the Premier League this season, after achieving a career best 19-goal in the 2023/24 campaign, and instead sold Jhon Duran to Al Nassr in a great step that relieved her concerns about PSR.

Sky Sport Enter that Arsenal’s interest in Watkins has now cooled down, even though you have to sign a new striker who is larger than ever. Your decision to withdraw from the 29-year-old is not the case that you have decided to drive a new center forward, but focus on other goals that can offer more longevity than Watkins.

The Viktor Gyokokers from Sporting CP, Alexander Isaks, Benjamin Sesko by RB Leipzig, and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Mathus Cunha are chosen as players.

All four are younger than Watkins, whose worst return has been 11 goals as a Premier League striker for five years, and the signing of one of the to-do list by the new sports director Andrea Berta, who has recently been confirmed as a replacement for Edu.

Arsenal also has to do work with regard to new contracts for existing players, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes all driving their current offers in the last two years.
