Bruno Fernandes confessed that his teammates of Manchester United were “frustrated” after he was below average after the modest 4-1 defeat on Sunday against Newcastle United.
A collapse in the second half in St. James’ Park sentenced the Red Devils to their 12th defeat, since Ruben Amorim took responsibility in November and she took 14th place in the Premier League table with just six games of the season.
It was another extremely overwhelming afternoon for United, which was died, done and exceeded for most of the encounter, with another defensive disaster class, which was particularly alerted for Amorim.
Captain Fernandes, who was one of the few shining lights for United this season, quickly admitted his frustrations with his teammates after the full-time whistle on Tyneside.
“My teammates – I’m only frustrated with them because I know how well they can be,” said an abandoned Fernandes Sky Sport.
“I know how difficult it is to represent this club. They want to give so much to the club to win because they know how much they are remembered when they win something with this club.”
Since United suffer his worst end in the Premier League era almost safe, everyone is resting on success in the Europa League. On Thursday evening, they face a 2-2 draw in France on Thursday evening in the second on-board of their quarter-finals when they are looking for the second-prayer competition in Europe and qualifications of the Champions League.
“On Thursday we go forward, we create a large atmosphere in our stadium, we have to be on the front foot and give everything we have because we want to get into the semi -finals,” added Fernandes.
“At difficult moments we did great performances against the biggest clubs. In crucial games when everyone watches. We are UTD, we have to put on and do everything we can to win the game.”
United will be dependent on a few more Fernandes magic to reach the semi-finals of the Europa League. Despite the poor form of his club colleagues, the Portuguese made 32 contact contributions in all competitions this season.
