Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has discussed his future in the club and insisted that he is very satisfied with his job and life, but is not revealing a new multi-year contract.
Flick signed a two -year contract when he succeeded in Xavi last summer and in his first year in the club was increasingly delivering La Liga. Barca also has an excellent chance of claiming a first title of the Champions League in a decade.
Flick will soon enter the last 12 months of his contract. But while he has the desire to stay in Barca, he would be more than satisfied with signing new one -year extensions every year.
“I guess and enjoy what I have here. I have a fantastic staff, my assistants are incredible, the physios, doctors … The players are very professional and train very hard and with the mentality to improve every day,” Flick told reporters at his last press conference.
“This is unique in my career. The atmosphere is fantastic. This is a family. All club employees are fantastic. I also have a good time, I enjoy Barcelona and the people. I am very happy to live here with my wife. It is a new experience, so I still have a lot of energy, and I think what we can do to improve because we start a lot.
“I am not a trainer who wants to sign for three years and believe that my future is secured, I have my own mentality. I like to work for this club, the best in the world, and I really appreciate what I have. I know the situation of the club and it is not easy.
“This is the situation now, a year and we will see what happens, step by step year after year. If we are still happy, it is another year. I want to end the job I do with a high grade. If my assistants are happy, I am also happy. We have to stay concentrated and concentrate on the rest of the season.”
