The journey of the Champions League from Aston Villa ended at a dramatic end when a 3-2 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals on Tuesday was not sufficient to remove the aggregate deficit.
A 3: 1 victory in the first leg seemed to offer a platform for PSG to overthrow the semi-finals, and they were in an impressive position, as goals by Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes after only 28 minutes with 2-0 against 2: 0.
Youri Tielemans managed to withdraw one late in the first half, and John McGinn Band in the second before the villa turned into animals when they kept tearing the defense of PSG. Ezri Konsa put the hosts in the lead at night and PSG did not send Gianluigi Donnarumma a fourth, fifth or even sixth time.
They had to hold on times, but PSG managed to hold on, and limped for a date with Real Madrid or, most likely arsenal, up to the final four.
