Mikel Areta has revealed that Arsenal Kai Havertz could greet back from his knee tendon Injury Before the end of the season.
When Havertz went down in February, it was initially assumed that the German international would no longer play in 2024/25 – a big blow for a side that lost his only other natural striker, Gabriel Jesus, against a serious knee injury weeks earlier.
Arsenal fought in the games that followed after Havertz’s injury when Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli also set fitness concerns, but had rediscovered their goalkeeper shape when Areta wing player Leandro Trossard and Midfield Mikel Merino Torear Toearhead Spear Side are page.
The Gunners boss has to continue this strategy longer for a little while, since Havertz is removed weeks before a comeback, but Areta assured the fans that he could see the 25-year-old in action earlier than expected.
“If I had to bet on him earlier than expected, I would say yes,” revealed Areta. “The way he works in this gym every day and presses everyone, I don’t think they can keep it much longer.”
However, the Gunners boss had the expectations of the semi-finals of the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain, which is scheduled to be planned on April 29 and May 7, “too early” for Havertz.
Elsewhere, Areta stood that the defender Riccardo Calafiori could be back in front of the first leg of this European draw, but the manager rejected it to make such a prediction about the midfielder Jorginho who fights a rib injury.
“If everything goes well, I think,” said Areteta about Calafiori’s hopes of providing PSG. “Maybe a little earlier. So, let’s see. He’s already on the field, he has done quite a few things and we just have to take the right steps to make sure that when he is back, he is in a good place to perform.
“[Jorginho] Is probably a question for the doctor, it is a fairly specific and difficult thing, so I will leave the club to an analysis. “
