Manchester United’s injured striker Joshua Zirkzee aimed at the fans who left Old Trafford before experiencing the association’s dramatic gymnastics turnaround against Lyon on a record -breaking European night.
With the quarter-finals of the Europa League after a 2-2 draw in France last week, United took a 2-0 lead in the first half in front of a delightful home on Thursday. But Ruben Amorim’s team imploded and collected twice to force the extension before two more goals sent, even after Lyon was reduced to ten players.

An injury at the end of the season forced Zirkzee to observe chaos from the quickly empty stands. The Dutch striker went to Instagram after the Mayhem and released a video of the cheering followers who remained under the label: “To all fans who came down below, listen to it.”
Amorim also welcomed the atmosphere. “The sounds of the stadium were the best of all time,” enthused United’s head coach. “Some people collect shirts, scarves, but I want to keep this sound, it is the best sound in the world.
“I feel disappointed for the people who had to go 4-2 because of the traffic. We know that we are below average and earn all critics, but we have time to do something special this season.”
United was paired with the Athletic Club in the semi -finals of the Europa League. Amorim’s team travels to Bilbao on Thursday, May 1st, which will also organize the final of the competition before organizing Old Trafford in Old Trafford a week later.
