Favourites to sign Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool & Man Utd target revealed after asking price slashed

Chelsea was charged to the race Sign Borussia Dortmund’s sought -after wing player Jamie Gitten, who, according to a report in Germany, reduced its price in half.

The English U21 international has enforced a mixed campaign. After an early goal, while Nuri Sahin was at the top, including one against Real Madrid in the Champions League, Gitten fell out of favor under the new manager Niko Kovac.

The pragmatic Croatian boss recently transformed Dortmund into a back-three formation with two central strikers and removed the left wing roller, in which the gitten thrive. This tactical incompatibility and Dortmund’s failure to qualify for the Champions League supposedly prompted the ambitious striker to apply for a step this summer.

A flood of Premier League clubs was associated with the former Manchester City Academy player. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United were all attributed to different interests, but Chelsea is considered the leading candidates to secure the signature of the Gitten, as reported by Picture Journalist Christian Falk.

Chelsea’s striving for the 20-year-old was strengthened by the reduced requirements of Dortmund. Once to departure of up to € 100 million (£ 85.7 million) – more than Jadon Sancho or Erling Haaland, commanded – Gitten now applies to only € 50 million (€ 42.9 million).

The blues are very much on the market for further attack options. The Enzo Maresca side is scheduled to aim at a new winger and a central striker this summer. Mykhailo Mudryk’s unusual future, which remains unknown after completing a drug test this season, and the potential departure of Christopher Nkunku leaves an obvious gap in the squad in Chelsea’s left flank.

In contrast to Kovac, Maresca is married to a 4-2-3-1 system, which plays an obvious role for Gitten, who would compete with Pedro Neto and Sancho, another alumni from Dortmund.
