Sergei Palkin, Managing Director of Shakhtar Donetsk, has confirmed that Chelsea wingers Mykhailo Mudryk is still waiting for the results of the examination of his alleged violation of doping rules.
After a short, inexplicable absence in December, the 24-year-old was created, an expensive arrival of Shakhtar in January 2023, had been hit with a global suspension after not passing a drug test during the international service during the international service with Ukraine.

“Mudryk was clear that it is not his fault that he tested positively. We now have to find out how this happened and who did it. His lawyers try to find out. There are still no results from the B sample so that it remains. Nobody knows what happened.
“Shakhtar also has a legitimate interest. There is bonuses from moving to Chelsea, which are connected with his appearances. If he does not play, it causes us problems because we could possibly lose € 30 million (£ 25.8m). So Shakhtar, Chelsea and Mudryk, we are in a boat. We all support Mrudryk and raised football soon.”
If Murryk’s B-Sample comes back positively, it will still be punished by FIFA, even if he can prove that he has not deliberately violated the rules. The goalkeeper from Manchester United, Andre Onana, was hit in February 2021 with a 12-month ban after accidentally taking a forbidden substance, later reducing the punishment to nine months.
In recent times, Paul Pogba was given the standard ban of four years after testing a positive value of 2023. This was later reduced to 18 months after appeal.
