Chelsea receive huge Mykhailo Mudryk doping ban update


Sergei Palkin, Managing Director of Shakhtar Donetsk, has confirmed that Chelsea wingers Mykhailo Mudryk is still waiting for the results of the examination of his alleged violation of doping rules.

If Murryk’s B-Sample comes back positively, it will still be punished by FIFA, even if he can prove that he has not deliberately violated the rules. The goalkeeper from Manchester United, Andre Onana, was hit in February 2021 with a 12-month ban after accidentally taking a forbidden substance, later reducing the punishment to nine months.

In recent times, Paul Pogba was given the standard ban of four years after testing a positive value of 2023. This was later reduced to 18 months after appeal.
