Clubs from Saudi Arabia examine offers for up to five players in Barcelona who go into the summer transfer Window, a report was unveiled.
Barcelona has largely been untouched by the exodus of the players to Saudi Arabia in recent years. Midfielder Franck Kessie moved to Al Ahli in the summer of 2023 to € 12.5 million (£ 10.7 million), and the young midfielder Unai Hernandez was sold to Al Ittihad for € 5 million (€ 4.3 million).
SPORT The state Saudi officials hope to add this list in summer, since Al Hilal, Al Nassr and Al Ittihad have held all meetings with Barcelona to explore potential transfers.
The biggest proposal in terms of value and the player profile concerns Raphhinha. The Ballon d’Ordankidat is a goal for Al Hilal who wants to use slow progress in negotiations on contract extension in Catalonia.
Raphhinha has rejected Saudi Arabia in the past and it is confident that he will do this again after establishing himself as one of the team’s most important figures.
Al Nassr is chasing a new central defender and has looked at both Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo, but like Raphhinha, the couple is expected to reset all progress. However, the same does not apply to Andreas Christensen, who is aware that he is available for the transfer this summer.
After all, Al Ittihad continues to follow midfielder Frenkie de Jong, another player who talks about an extension of the contract with the La League leaders.
The signs are again that De Jong will commit himself to Barcelona and reject the chance to move to the Middle East.
Barcelona is confident that Raphinha, Counde, Araujo and de Jong are committed to the project, but it is an awareness that the huge prosperity offered in Saudi Arabia could complicate things both with regard to the transmission fees and in relation to the proposed salary helpers.
It is no secret that Barcelona has to sell players to collect money this summer, but the club hopes not to lose big names and instead plan to sell Christensen, Clement Lenglet, Inaki Pena and Ansu Fati.
