The left -back in Barcelona, Alejandro Balde Injury In the line -up until Wednesday evening Champions League semi -finals against Inter.
Balde has not played more since April 12th when he was forced against Leganes with a thigh problem in the first half of the La Liga victory in Barcelona. Since then, the defender has missed four games in three competitions, including the Copa del Rey final on Sunday against Real Madrid.
But the recovery process is almost complete and Barca is now commissioned to decide how and when Balde returns to the plot.
AS writes that caution of club officials concerns a thigh injury with a risk of relapse. But there should be a meeting with Balde on Monday to find out what the next steps should look like, a fitness assessment that is expected to be part of it.
Balde is understandably assumed that he is facing interests on Wednesday, and a lot will depend on how he gets through and feels after the tests of this week.
Hansi Flick would rather take no risk with the 21-year-old and might lose him for the rest of the season if he was pressed too early. The final decision will be a “consensus” after Balde, the coaching staff and the medical department have had all their contributions.
The other option is that his return until the weekend is delayed when Barca faces Real Valladolid in La Liga, in order to be too “fully available” for the second leg against Inter next Tuesday. Etherer Weg, it probably seems that Balde will play in at least one of the semi -final legs.
Barcelona has no other left -back of the first team, with Gerard Martin, the main stock for Balde. The 23-year-old, who is registered with Barca B, started the Copa del Rey final and other games against Celta Vigo and Borussia Dortmund. Teenager Hector Fort got nod against Mallorca.
