Man City take surprise transfer stance ahead of summer window

Manchester City plans to reduce their payroll this summer because they continue to revise an aging group.

The recently dethroned champions have endured a turbulent campaign by injuries and driven through uncertain performance on the field. Even Pep Guardiola, probably the greatest manager in football history, has tried to bring things together.

The city came at the end of a cycle and began the transformation of its experienced squad during the winter transmission window. Omar Marmoush and Nico Gonzalez were important additions, while Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis were mostly signed for the future.

But the overhaul will continue and big names are expected to leave. Kevin de Bruyne will end his decades of career at the Etihad Stadium at the end of the campaign, while the club icons Bernardo Silva and Ederson are among those advertised with summer outputs.

Accordingly The athleteCity plans to cut off the payroll with such exits, and while you still stop “four or five new players” this summer, the association will identify players with lower wage requirements than the decreasing stars that replace them.

The report states that the city will try to reduce the wage bill, “does not mean that you will cut corners in your recruitment”. For example, Florian Wirtz is a realistic goal for the club this summer, but even the expected salary of the superstar German would not match the approximately £ 400,000 a week currently issued for de Bruyne.

It was also announced that the positions that City will target this summer. The Manchester Giants are looking for a new goalkeeper, a full-back and at least one creative midfielder with the Wirtz and Morgan Gibs-White from Nottingham Forest mentioned above.

Portos Diogo Costa was the next goalkeeper from City, while both the right -wing defender and the left -back could use an upgrade this summer.
