Cole Palmer makes honest admission after ending Chelsea goal drought

Cole Palmer admitted that he had the feeling of leaving Chelsea in a goal during a drought of 18 games that ended on Sunday in the club’s 3-1 win against the new Premier League champions Liverpool.

Palmer had scored 14 goals from the Premier League until mid-January and was up to date to surpass the Breakout Breakout from 22 in the competition last season.

After finding the net in a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, the England star did not hit any competition for almost four months. It included 18 games and treated the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Conference League.

Palmer still occasionally received an assistant, but was unable to expand his goals in costly defeats against Aston Villa and Brighton, and also pulled with Brentford and Ipswich Town, all of whom could have made the qualification of the Champions League much more comfortable.

And given the fact that Palmer was undisputed Talisman last season, the player felt unhappy and a bit useless.

“If you get opportunities and not score gate, it feels like you would let your team down,” he considered after the 3-1 win on Sunday at the Stamford Bridge.

“I feel mentally strong anyway. I am proud to help the team. If I don’t do it, I’m not happy. I went without a goal for three months, but I only have more struggle and motivation to do more for myself and for the team.”

On Sunday, Chelsea managed to use a strongly rotated Liverpool team that took off the gas from the gas. The Premier League title is sewn. The blues have to be finished in the top 5 to secure a return to the Champions League. They currently have a three -point cushion and a superior difference between sixth place in Nottingham Forest, which is traveling to Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
