Chelsea gaining momentum in pursuit of £51m-rated Bundesliga goalkeeper

In her recent efforts, Chelsea wins “in dynamics” recruit A new goalkeeper number one from the Bundesliga according to a report in Germany.

The blues have not had a consequence for several years since Thibaut Courtois left the club in 2018, with Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy each being at short notice.

Robert Sanchez has not been particularly convincing in 2023 since his arrival of £ 2523 and has shared the tasks with Djordje Petrovic last season and this season with Filip Jorgensen.

Petrovic and Kepa will both return from loans in Strasbourg and Bournemouth to Stamford Bridge in a few weeks, while Gabriel Slonina stays in the books and Mike Penders will arrive from Genk.

Summer offers could stand up for Petrovic and Kepa, but there are no guarantees, and Chelsea is flooded with goalkeepers and is still on the market for another.

Accordingly PictureChelsea are in close contact with representatives of Borussia Dortmund -Stopper Gregor Kobel, and a “poker game” begins. Switzerland international is considered happy in Dortmund, but is equally ready for the “next step” in his career.

The “potential transmission fee” contains € 60 million (£ 51 million), which would be a considerable effort for a goalkeeper – the third highest in history only behind Alisson (67 million GBP) and Kepa (72 million GBP).

German reporter Christian Falk Has claimed that the fee is so high because Dortmund does not want to sell Kobel, who has a contract by 2028 and is confident of convincing it.

It is crucial whether Dortmund manages to qualify for the Champions League in the next season or not. Kobel is interested in playing in the competition after reaching the final last year, while the lack of financial boost could force qualification from qualifying Dortmund to listen to offers for players.

Dortmund transports fourth place Freiburg in the Bundesliga table at one point with two games. They are also the form of shape in the division after winning five of their last six games.
