Mohamed Salah has admitted a mutual wish to be Liverpool’s Star goal scorer in his relationship with the former teammate Sadio Mane as a voltage source.
In addition to Roberto Firmino, Salah and Mane formed a devastating attack strea, which Jürgen Klopp’s time defined in Anfield. The two wing players achieved an incredible number of goals, but often confronted allegations of being selfish when it came to helping the other score.
Salah and Mane shared the Golden Boot Award of the Premier League with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in 2018/19 after scoring 22 goals. Salah led to both Liverpool stars, who are desperately desperately scored and be the star of the team, this led to a few unpleasant interactions with mane.
“Yes, there were tensions with Sadio,” he said to France football. “Mind you, we were professional until the end, I don’t think the team influenced it.
“It is human to want more, I understand that he is a competitor. We were not very close to the field, but we always respected.”
Salah previously admitted that he may have been “selfish” to Man, but insisted that the statistics – his 18 templates for mane – prove that he was always ready to make the right decision with Liverpool.
“People can think what they want, it’s their right,” he said. “But I invite everyone to notice that the person who made mane with the most templates made me.
“We can take a look at the facts, but it is obviously easier to throw away such sentences. It makes the headlines, I know how it works. As long as it remains within the limits of respect, it is okay for me. But that doesn’t mean that this opinion is true. At the end of the day I know what I have done and my conscience is clear.”
