Alejandro Garnacho says that he was satisfied with life in Manchester United after he has proven himself to the new head coach Ruben Amorim and pointed out that he stayed in his contract for over three years transfer.
Garnacho was strongly connected to United in January after being dropped behind the scenes behind the scenes from December for the Manchester Derby from the Matchday squad. Amorim wasted little time to call out the wing player for his standards.
While Marcus Rashford, who was also dropped at the same time, was ultimately loaned in January, Garnacho was called back to the squad almost immediately and has been a regular starter for Amorim since then.
Nevertheless, exit rumors still remain. Napoli are admirers after they have failed in the winter window with a bid of 40 million GBP, and Chelsea is known to be interested in the Argentine international. But Garnacho is not considering a future of United at that time.
“As a footballer, they will always hear and hear some rumors about the future,” he said to the media against the athletic club before the semi -finals of the Europa League on Thursday. “But I have a contract until 2028, so I’m happy here.”
Garnacho did not hide from the fights with which he was faced with Amorim’s reign in the early weeks. The head coach openly questioned his attack in a 3-4-2-1 setup, but later praised Garnacho’s answer to the pressure on his shoulders.
“My first two months, November and December, were very difficult for me, but my mentality is to continue working, to continue trying the manager and the employees that I have to play,” considered Garnacho.
In a separate interview with TNT sportGarnacho added: “You can be on the go for this game [against Man City]But I know if I work and I try to do the right things, I’ll play because I know the player I am.
“I just have to do that and I did it. I think we are doing better things now, and when we win that [Europa League]It will be very nice for us.
“If there are good moments, everyone is happy about it. If it is difficult, you have to work harder. I did what I have to do to be here and play for this club.”
It is believed that United is not actively trying to sell Garnacho, but after he has decided that no member of the squad can be considered “untouchable”, it would entertain major offers to separate the Argentina national player.
A price of £ 70 million was proposed in January and may have increased that the 20-year-old has his way back to Amorim’s thoughts.
